  Long ago, there lived a kind Prophet named Yunus (A.S.). Allah has mentioned the incident of Yunus (A.S) in th Quran. Yunus (A s.) was a great prophet and he was from the generation of Ibrahim (A. s). There was a place in Iraq called Ninewa. The people here were immersed in polytheism and sin so Allah (SWT) sent Yunus (A.S.) as a messenger to the people of Ninewa. As Allah said in the Qur'an, and I sent him to one hundred thousand, rather more than that to the people.  In Ninewa there were approximately one hundred and twenty thousand people and all of them were on disbelief.
