  Long ago, there lived a kind Prophet named Yunus (A.S.). Allah has mentioned the incident of Yunus (A.S) in th Quran. Yunus (A s.) was a great prophet and he was from the generation of Ibrahim (A. s). There was a place in Iraq called Ninewa. The people here were immersed in polytheism and sin so Allah (SWT) sent Yunus (A.S.) as a messenger to the people of Ninewa.
